Krista started her country dance journey just 3.5 years ago at the bar—and was instantly hooked! Her incredible talent and passion have been shaped by training with top-notch instructors, including Susan Kirkland, David Miller, Tommy Schwegmann, and Glenn Ball.
In just a short time, Krista has made an impressive mark on the dance world, taking home 1st place at DanceXL and 1st place at the Mavericks competition in 2023. Known by many as “one of the best two-step follows in the country,” Krista’s dedication and growth are truly inspiring.
We are thrilled to have her as a mentor for Forever Country Dance Jam, where she’ll share her love for dance, technique tips, and contagious enthusiasm with our community.

As a mentor, Elise finds joy in working with beginners, helping them build confidence and take their first steps on the dance floor. She also connects with dancers at all levels, sharing her expertise and energy to help them grow and reach their potential.
When she’s not dancing, Elise is a proud mom of two boys, ages 9 and 5, balancing her love for dance with her dedication to family life.

JP Vaughan
A Florida native with deep Texas roots, JP fell in love with partner dancing in the honky-tonks of Texas after moving post-Covid. Known for his BIG personality and dynamic style, JP emphasizes connection, creativity, collaboration, and control in his teaching. Whether you’re learning to have super FUN dances or mastering a new technique, JP’s unique approach will inspire and entertain.
Mae Rowlett
Hailing from Arizona and currently in school for Ultrasound, Mae’s dance journey began in 2022 with Country Swing, and she quickly fell in love. In 2023, she added West Coast Swing, competing in the Advanced division. Mae’s background in Bollywood and belly dancing adds a unique flair to her movement, emphasizing staccato and body isolation. Her passion for dance is contagious, and she’s excited to connect with everyone who shares the love of the floor.

A leading member of @pnwstompeders, Anna has been dancing for nearly 20 years, training extensively in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern country swing. Her strong foundation in ballet allows her to help country swing and line dancers refine their body control, technique, and fluidity, making her a highly sought-after instructor.

Hailing from Italy, Francesca has been immersed in the world of Country & Western dance since she was just 8 years old—and she hasn’t stopped since.

We’re excited to welcome Augie Leija to the Forever Country Dance Jam Mentor Team, where he will be mentoring in West Coast Swing.
Born in Monclova, Mexico, and raised in Fort Worth, TX, Augie’s dance journey began in 2004 with local crews and friends, where movement was all about connection over perfection. Today, he brings that same philosophy to his teaching, blending his background in Latin social dances, hip-hop, country swing, and West Coast Swing to create a unique and rhythm-driven approach to partner dance.

COUNTRY SWING
We’re excited to welcome Scott and Jasmine Morrison to the Forever Country Dance Jam Mentor Team, where they will be mentoring in Country Swing!
Though neither grew up dancing, Jasmine’s background in all-star competitive cheer brings athleticism and unique style to her dancing. Scott, on the other hand, taught himself Country Swing in 2019 by watching Steven Spellman’s YouTube videos and practicing at his local bar. His first-ever competition? The 2021 UCWDC Worlds—where he quickly realized how much more there was to learn.
Scott and Jasmine met in 2021, and by early 2022, Scott had started teaching Jasmine how to dance. When she discovered the competitive scene, she was all in. Together, they have earned 15 belt buckles and are now local instructors in their Florida dance community.
While dance is a big part of their lives, it’s not their only passion—Jasmine is a registered nurse in a burn and trauma ICU, and Scott is a video game programmer for EA Sports, working on Madden and College Football.
We’re thrilled to have them bring their energy, talent, and passion for Country Swing to Forever Country Dance Jam. Be sure to catch them on the dance floor!

We’re excited to welcome Dillon Emery to the Forever Country Dance Jam Mentor Team!
A homegrown Forever Country dancer, Dillon started his journey in 2018 at local country bars in Dallas, where he quickly fell in love with the dance floor. In January 2023, he fully committed to Two-Step, leaving behind bar coast and One-Step to refine his technique and grow as a dancer under the guidance of his teacher and mentor, Steven Spellman.
Dillon’s passion for teaching and mentoring took off in 2024, when he stepped into the role of Beginner Two-Step instructor every Sunday at Forever Country. Now, he helps new dancers build confidence, develop a strong foundation, and feel at home on the social dance floor.

We are thrilled to announce that Chaz Frankenberry has joined the Forever Country Dance Jam Mentor Team, bringing his passion and expertise in Country Swing and West Coast Swing to our community.
Chaz's dance journey began in 2017 at Mavericks Dancehall in Austin, Texas, where he quickly immersed himself in the vibrant country dance scene. His dedication and talent led him to his first buckle win at Country Thunder in 2019, marking the beginning of a series of impressive accomplishments.
In late 2019, Chaz expanded his repertoire by delving into West Coast Swing, and by 2021, he was actively competing, progressing to the Advanced division. His commitment to excellence is evident in his achievements alongside his dance partner, Kristina Zaza. Together, they secured double buckles at the UCWDC Worlds in 2023 and 2024 in both Progressive and Stationary divisions within the Dancehall category. A personal highlight for Chaz was their first-place victory in the Routine Division at Austin Country Jam 2022, a testament to their creativity and skill.
Beyond competing, Chaz is passionate about sharing his knowledge and fostering growth within the dance community. As a Dancehall Instructor, he is known for his smooth partnering moves, offering valuable insights for both Jack & Jill and Strictly contests. His teaching emphasizes connection, technique, and the joy of dance, making him a cherished mentor for dancers of all levels.

As a founding member of the PNW Stompeders, David has been an integral part of the Pacific Northwest dance community, instructing and performing country swing and line dancing across the region. His dance journey began in 2020 at OSU Country Western Dance Club, where he quickly became hooked on the energy and connection of social dancing. By 2021, he had already started teaching in Portland, Oregon, and has since established himself as a leading instructor across Oregon and Washington.
David’s passion for building community and sharing the joy of dance has taken him beyond the PNW, traveling across the U.S. as a guest instructor at various country dance venues and events. His dedication to teaching, performing, and growing the dance scene makes him an exciting addition to Forever Country Dance Jam!
